If you are highly considering getting into makeup artistry in hopes of becoming a Makeup Artist this is such a great book to look into to see if this career is truly a good fit for you. You’ll learn so much in this book not just the basics, you’ll be exposed to valuable knowledge. You’ll be able to learn about bridal makeup application and also skincare basics, even breaking into the makeup artist business. I loved that Brown included this in her book, learning a bit more of the inside of the business, career options, and even booking work truly gives you an idea of what to expect and what being a MUA is really about. My favorite takeaway from Brown’s book is definitely Chapter 4, The Face. Learning about different skin tones along with the connection of the skin and ethnicity is a lovely informative read that helps you know about your client’s skin needs and what to expect.
